Perfection to my ears. 

Music is opinion based, right? Well I’ll be the first to say this is so, but the above to albums: “Lasers” by Lupe Fiasco and “The Archandroid” by Janelle Monáe are two albums that, hands down deserve the titles of the “Best Stuff in the hiphop/pop/soul genre that Is Currently Available”

I’ve been onto Lupe for a while, and I have been waiting for this album to come out since I can remember. (a very long time) Every track is a hit. Every track has a lyrical depth thats missing in most of popular music today… and for that reason alone, I applaud señor Fiasco. It helps that the tracks actually sound great too. 

Janelle’s album has been out for a while, but I’ve recently just been introduced to her music. I’ve always seen her and said to myself, “Hmm who’s this girl with this crazy hair poof wearing tuxedos all willy nilly? Maybe I will have to check her out someday.” That day was about 4 days ago and her music has not left my iPod play rotation since (and I’ve been after effectin’ non stop for the last 4 days, so that is a ton of rotation)… That is, until I just bought the new Lupe album. Now my ears are on happiness overload.
